COMMITTEE

Ode

As a mark of respect for the fallen, the Ode is recited at all New Zealand RSAs. The Ode is recited at the Sumner Redcliff RSA when we meet at the Village Inn on Thursday evenings as a mark of respect for the fallen.

They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them

 Ekore ratou e kaumatuatia
Penei ia tatou e mahue nei
E kore hoki ratou e ngoikore
Ahakoa, pehea I nga ahuatanga o te wa
I te hekenga atu o te ra
Tae noa ki te aranga mai I te ata
Ka maumahara tonu tatou kia ratou
